Next step in the completion of my paper duckie.
Poor kid has her head wrapped in bandages before the surgery even begins!;-)
I’ve added layers of paper mache on top of the masking tape and sculpted her feet.
All in all I was fairly satisfied with the proportions but after layering the armature with newspaper clippings the head looked too small compared to her legs and feet. I really loved the shape of her head but I need to work on it some more.
In order to find out how big it should become I taped some tissues around the head and think this looks better already. It also gives me more space to paint her face.
So today I will be a doctor and perform some tricky brain surgery on my paper duck, don’t be afraid, she won’t feel a thing;-)
I’m looking forward to the next phase which will be painting her in a Mexican folk-art style. Stay tuned!
